I would think that DAW Logic/Kontakt plug-in would be the way to go. When I use Kontakt as a standalone it works fine to use different midi channels.Įverything else seems to work just as the example gives.
I have the different instruments set to different midi rx channels, but no matter what channel I send out of my controller it only receives on the first one. I setup my logic project just how the example shows, however it only triggers my first instrument loaded into the Kontakt plug-in.

I am currently trying to use software synth for mostly live applications. I wouldn't use Logic for what you're trying to do with 16 instruments and 8 stereo outputs, Logic is not an instrument. It's not written for Apple and doesn't export Kontakt instruments. And it exports to Kontakt format.įor Autosampling SampleRobot is also pretty good, but it uses Wine on OSX. I think you can connect a midi out to a midi in and then record Aria via Soundflower in Translator, never tried it. It offers a workaround though, you can autosample hardware instruments.
